Completing the e-visa form is required for all travelers who wish to enter Vietnam with an e-visa. This form does not contain much information but a few fields may challenge the applicants.

In this post, we will guide you through steps to complete every field included in your Vietnam e-visa application form. But first of all, let’s discover the parts of e-visa application form.

What does the Vietnam e-visa application form look like?

The e-visa application form is the form submitted to the Vietnam Immigration Department as the basis for the Department to grant e-visa to the applicants.

There are 02 parts that are required to completed in an application form for e-visa to Vietnam, consisting of:

• Applicant’s information

The Vietnam e-visa form with Vietnam-evisa.orgn.vn is the form we use to collect your basic information to complete the e-visa form to be submitted to the Immigration Department for processing.

Our form have the following fields:

• Contact information and visa options:
  • Contact details (contact name, email and phone number),
  • Purpose of entry: You select tourist or business,
  • Processing time: normal or urgent,
  • Port of entry: select the port of entry from the list. Be well planned before selecting as once your e-visa is issued, you cannot enter Vietnam via any other ports,
  • Port of exit:  Pay the same attention as the port of entry. You just select one and make sure that you will leave Vietnam via such a checkpoint.
• Applicant’s details:
  • Full name: enter full name of the applicant. The Vietnam e-visa name order should be as exact as shown on passport,
  • Nationality: enter the nationality on the passport you use to enter Vietnam,
  • Passport expiry date:Select the expiry date of passport, in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  • And then upload the applicant’s passport data page photo and e-visa photo which can be taken by PhotoScan app as guided here.
  • Under 14 years old accompanying child(ren) included in your passport (if any): if you are traveling with any child under 14 years old included in your passport: upload his/her photo, and provide his/her full name, sex and date of birth. Otherwise, just ignore this field.

How to complete Vietnam e-visa Application Form with Vietnam Immigration Department website? 

For this application form, you are required to provide more information. Just follow the guide below.

For personal information:

• You first need to upload the applicant’s photo which must meet those Vietnam e-visa photo specifications (no photo taken by PhotoScan is accepted).
• You then need to upload the applicant’s passport data page which should be in .jpg format and should not exceed 2MB in size.
• Full name: enter full name of the applicant. The Vietnam e-visa name order should be as exact as shown on passport.
• Sex: select Male or Female as indicated.
• Date of birth: Select the date of birth exactly as shown on passport in DD/MM/YYYY format.
• Current nationality: You will choose the nationality indicated in the passport you use to apply for the e-visa to Vietnam.
• Nationality at birth: Fill in your nationality when you were born or just leave it blank as this is an optional field.
• Religion: Vietnam e-visa religion is a required field, and you can fill it out with your current religion (if any) or fill it with “NONE”, both are fine.
• Occupation: You can fill in your current occupation or leave it blank as it is optional.
• Permanent residential address and Phone number: both fields are optional, and you can fill them out with your information or leave them blank as well.
• Email: enter the email you often use.
• Passport number: enter the exact passport number.
• Type: select the type of passport.
• Expiry date: Select the expiry date of passport, in DD/MM/YYYY format.

And then, move to the next section of visa and travel information, which consists of:

• First of all, you need to provide your intended date of entry. It is selected from the calendar, and will be in DD/MM/YYYY format.
• Then you will provide your intended length of stay in Vietnam, in days. By default, it is 30 days, the maximum validity of an e-visa for Vietnam.
• Purpose of entry: You select the purpose of entry from the list. It is, by default, tourism.
• Intended temporary residential address in Vietnam: the Vietnam e-visa temporary address is a required field, and you can provide the address of the first hotel in which you will stay when reaching Vietnam, or provide your expected friend’s or relative’s address.
• City/Province: provide the city/province in which your intended temporary residential address in Vietnam is located.
• Inviting/guaranteeing agency/organization (if any): Fill out with its name and address (if any). Otherwise, just leave it blank.
• Under 14 years old accompanying child(ren) included in your passport (if any): if you are traveling with any child under 14 years old included in your passport: upload his/her photo, and provide his/her full name, sex and date of birth. Otherwise, just ignore this field.
• Grant Evisa valid from and To in DD/MM/YYYY format: By default, the valid date will be the intended date of entry you provided, and the expiry date will be 30 days from the date of entry. But you can change these dates manually.
• Allowed to entry through checkpoint: select the port of entry. Be well planned before selecting as once your e-visa is issued, you cannot enter Vietnam via any other ports.
• Exit through checkpoint: it is the same as port of entry. You just select one and make sure that you will leave Vietnam via such a checkpoint.
