Since February 2017, Vietnam has officially launched the issuance of an online electronic visa (E-visa) for eligible foreigners for a maximum period of no more than 30 days. And foreigners who expect to enter the country with e-visa are required to submit the application form via the internet and pay the e-visa fees to get the e-visa before departure for Vietnam.

Preparation before completing the online form for e-visa for Vietnam
Before accessing to the Vietnam e-visa application form, the applicants are required to have the following items ready:
- A photo in .jpg format of your full passport data page
- A e-visa photo in .jpg format which meets these photo requirements
- A valid international credit or debit card
- An email address for support purposes
- An intended temporary residence address in Vietnam
- Planned entry and exit dates and exact entry and exit points.
Procedures to get e-visa for Vietnam
Foreigners applying for e-visa shall need to perform the following steps:
Step 1: Complete this online application form by:
- Uploading the passport data page photo and portrait photo as guided.
- Complete the form with required information, including full name, passport number, passport expiry date, nationality, following this Vietnam e-visa application form guideline.
- Double check to make sure all the information entered is correct.
Step 2: Pay the e-visa fees
- We accept Credit/ Debit Card via OnePay/ PayPal or Western Union.
Step 3: Get the e-visa via email
- After your submission and payment, we will start processing your e-visa with the Vietnam Immigration Department. Within 03 working days in normal processing or 04 working hours in urgent service, you will get your e-visa in .pdf format delivered to your email.
- You then print the e-visa out and keep it together with your original passport, show them to the Immigration Officer at the port of entry to complete the immigration procedure there.
